A member of the academic board of Imam Sadiq Research Institute (PBUH) stated, mourning ceremonies combined with religious insight and knowledge regarding the movement of Imam Hussein (PBUH) is the foundation of human happiness.”

Hawzah News Agency- Dr. Mehdi Eslami, a professor at Imam Sadiq Institute had an interview with the Hawzah News, while offering his condolences on Tasu'a and Ashura days to all the admirers and lovers of Imam Hussain (PBUH) and his companions, he said,” Mourning for Imam Hussain (PBUH) is the basis for the growth and spiritual development of human beings, given that such ceremonies are performed in the right way and combined with religious insight and knowledge, it provides the path to the happiness of humanity, same way doors to happiness has opened for all the true followers and lovers of the martyrs throughout history.”

Pointing out that the Hussaini movement is the cause of the survival of the religion, he added,” One of the important duties of religious missionaries and clerics, as well as eulogists and mourners of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH), is to try to correctly explain the dimensions and lessons of the Ashura movement which includes standing up to defend religion and doing religious duty.”

He added,” This is a very important issue to consider that first and foremost, the movement of Imam Hussain (PBUH) was in the direction of reviving the Prophetic traditions and the Alavi School; therefore Imam Hussain is considered a great reviver of divine values .”

This university lecturer also noted,” We should tell the people, especially the young generation, in the meetings and religious circles on the occasion of Muharram and Safar, that Aba Abdullah (PBUH) in his famous sermon on the day of Ashura, while strongly criticizing the silence of the people , described the crimes of the Umayyad and the anti-religious policies of the Umayyad rulers, considered any cooperation and compromise with the oppressive rulers as an unforgivable sin, and emphasized the need to stand up against the system and deviance through it.”
